About me

Was born in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Studied in Moscow and Milan, Italy, majoring in artist, fashion designer, perfumer. Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. She currently lives and works in Moscow and Milan.

ARTIST STATEMENT

The main focus of my ideas is on the endless exploration of the anthropology of man of the present and future, his sensory organs, inclusion - complete immersion in a work of art through any mediums accessible to perception, directing attention to matters invisible to the eye. As well as human interaction with oneself, self-acceptance and space, mental activity and evolution.
Due to the frequent change of cultural and social environment, I study the problems of self-identification, the difficulties of socialization, norms of interpersonal communication and languages.

In my works, I often refer to philosophical texts, ontology and semiotics. I engage in dialogue with artists.

I explore religious rituals and ancient texts of Asia, Europe, and Russia on ethnographic expedition trips, combining them with rituals of the future and using them in my projects and performances.
Studying an interdisciplinary field, I work at the junction of various techniques and directions: installation, performance, sculpture, olfactory art, painting, video art, sound art. I most often use scents in combination with sculpture, as it is directly related to my perception of the world through touch and smell, I often see images through smells, and perceive space in three dimensions.

Currently, I am working on inclusive, olfactory projects "Invisible Language" exploring ways of communication in society in the post-pandemic period and "Face ID. Ifquil" exploring the field of socialization and self-identification, the emergence of new languages in the field of inclusion, in interpersonal and interspecific communication at the junction of the digital and physical fields, in collaboration with scientists from Skoltech University in the laboratory of neurophysiology.

I also continue my work on the Sleep Laboratory projects, where, through dreams, I explore the connections of olfactory signals with deep human memory, memory consolidation processes, and feedback communication between sleep and the viewer's experience, an experience defined as Proustian or olfactory memory. Art experiment olfactory signals as a new language of non-verbal communication in art. I also continue my work on the self-identification project "Codes", where I explore cultural codes and traditions of different countries.
